Assist Mode (the official cheat menu) (Unlock All)
Options > Assist Mode offers invincibility, infinite stamina, 50-90% game speed, and extra air dashes — built into the game with no achievement penalty (only a gentle 'Chapter Complete' flag change).
No built-in cheat codes exist for this game. See the entry description for what actually works on each platform.
Golden berry secret (Easter Egg)
Golden berries (no-death per-chapter flags) unlock after Chapter 7 — the intended 'challenge mode', not a cheat.
No built-in cheat codes exist for this game. See the entry description for what actually works on each platform.
Developer Debug Mode (Exploit)
Vanilla debug tools on PC: create an empty file named debug.txt in the game's install directory and restart. Press the backtick (`) key in-game to open a cheat console, and Tab (or F6) for the level-select debug map. Remove the file to disable.
Navigate to your Celeste save data folder (usually %APPDATA%/Celeste), open settings.celeste with a text editor, and add launch_with_debug_mode = true under the [Controls] section. Restart the game to enable.
Play PICO-8 Celeste (Easter Egg)
Discover and play the original PICO-8 prototype of Celeste, a simpler, retro-style version of the game that inspired the full release.
In Chapter 3 (Celestial Resort), find the hidden arcade machine in the dark area after the first main section. Interact with it to launch the PICO-8 game.
Advanced Movement: Wavedash (Tips)
Master the wavedash technique to maintain momentum and cross gaps efficiently, combining a dash with a jump immediately upon landing to preserve speed.
Perform a diagonal down-forward dash towards the ground, then immediately jump as Madeline touches a surface. This allows for rapid horizontal movement without expending a second dash.
